Notch Clipboard for macOS

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Overview

Notch Clipboard is a local-first clipboard history app. It does not require an account and does not send clipboard contents to the developer or to third-party services.

Clipboard Data

When clipboard monitoring is enabled, the app may save text, links, images, and file references that you copy. Clipboard history, pinned items, thumbnails, archived payloads, and app preferences are stored locally on your Mac. Clipboard history is not encrypted by the app.

Sensitive Content

By default, the app skips clipboard entries marked as concealed or transient by password managers and other apps. You may choose to capture concealed items, but doing so can store passwords, one-time codes, or recovery keys on disk until you delete them. You can also pause monitoring, disable content types, and exclude selected apps.

Data Collection and Sharing

We do not collect, sell, rent, transmit, or share your clipboard content, usage history, or personal information. The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party account SDKs. Apple may process purchase, download, and diagnostic information under Apple's own privacy policy.

Retention and Deletion

Local history is retained according to the limits and settings you select. You can delete individual items, clear unpinned history, or permanently delete all clipboard data from the app's settings. Removing the app and its local application data also removes the stored history.

System Features

Notch Clipboard uses macOS system features for clipboard access, global keyboard shortcuts, previews, and launch at login. These features operate on your Mac and do not cause the developer to receive your clipboard data.

Children's Privacy

Notch Clipboard is a general productivity tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and Contact

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. Questions can be sent to ozguryalm@gmail.com.
