Swipe & Wipe – Photo Gallery Cleaner
This Privacy Policy describes how Özgür Yalım ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with the Swipe & Wipe mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Key principle: Your photos and videos never leave your device. All media processing is done entirely on-device. We do not upload, transmit, or store any of your photos or videos on our servers.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We collect the minimum data needed to operate and improve the App. Here is a full breakdown:
| Data Type | Purpose | Linked to Identity? |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers (IDFA/Android Advertising ID) | Advertising (AdMob) | No (opted-in via ATT on iOS) |
| Crash logs & diagnostics | Bug fixing (Firebase Crashlytics) | No |
| Anonymous usage events (screen views, feature usage) | App improvement (Firebase Analytics) | No |
| Purchase receipts & subscription status | Unlocking premium features (RevenueCat) | No (anonymous user ID) |
| Photos & videos (thumbnails for display) | Core swipe-to-clean functionality | Stays on device — never transmitted |
We do not collect: name, email address, physical address, phone number, social media profiles, location, contacts, browsing history, or any other personally identifiable information.
The App uses the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy:
Displays interstitial and rewarded ads to free-tier users. May use advertising IDs for ad personalization (subject to ATT consent on iOS). Google Privacy Policy →
Collects anonymous usage events (e.g., screen opens, feature taps) to help us understand how the App is used. No personal data is linked to these events. Firebase Privacy Policy →
Automatically collects crash reports and stack traces when the App unexpectedly closes. Reports are anonymized and contain no personal data. Firebase Privacy Policy →
Manages in-app subscriptions and purchase verification. RevenueCat stores an anonymous user identifier linked to your purchase receipts. No personal information (name, email) is shared. RevenueCat Privacy Policy →
App stores handle purchase payments and subscription billing directly. Payment details are never visible to us. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
The App offers a Premium subscription that unlocks:
Subscription pricing and duration are shown in the in-app paywall before purchase and in the respective App Store listing. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Purchases are processed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. To manage or cancel your subscription: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device. For refunds, contact Apple Support at reportaproblem.apple.com. The subscription is subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
Purchases are processed by Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google account. To manage or cancel your subscription: open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. For refunds, contact Google Play Support or visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Purchases are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
We cannot issue refunds directly — all refund requests must go through the platform (Apple or Google) where the purchase was made. Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription.
Free-tier users see ads served by Google AdMob. Two ad formats are used:
Premium subscribers see no ads of any kind.
On iOS, personalized advertising requires your explicit consent via the App Tracking Transparency prompt (see Section 6). On Android, AdMob may use the Advertising ID for ad personalization according to Google's policies. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time via your device settings.
On iOS 14.5 and later, the App requests permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
You can change your ATT decision at any time in: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
The App's core function is to help you review and clean your photo library. To do this, it requests access to your device's photo library.
Your photos and videos are processed 100% on-device. No media files, thumbnails, or metadata are ever uploaded to our servers or any third-party server. All deletions are performed locally using your device's operating system APIs.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO permissions. Revoke them anytime in Settings → Apps → Swipe & Wipe → Permissions.Items moved to the in-app trash bin are not immediately deleted from your device — they are soft-deleted and recoverable until you confirm permanent deletion. Permanent deletion uses the platform's system API and is irreversible.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at contact@ozguryalim.com and we will promptly delete it.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your data:
You can request a copy of data we hold about you (if any), or ask us to delete it. Contact us at contact@ozguryalim.com.
You can limit analytics data collection by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) in your device settings. Firebase Analytics collection is reduced when these device-level settings are active.
iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off Swipe & Wipe.
Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact contact@ozguryalim.com.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. For CCPA requests, contact contact@ozguryalim.com.
We retain anonymous analytics and crash data for up to 26 months in accordance with Firebase's default retention periods. Purchase receipts are retained by RevenueCat for as long as necessary to validate subscription status and comply with legal obligations.
All on-device data (trash bin contents, swipe history) is deleted when you uninstall the App.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. All communications with third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat, AdMob) use TLS/HTTPS encryption. The App does not store sensitive personal data on our servers.
Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it to contact@ozguryalim.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Previous versions can be requested by emailing us.
